This month we corporately celebrate Jesus’
death, burial, and His resurrection.
“O LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you; I will praise your name, for
you have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and
sure.” (Isaiah 25:1)
Praise the Lord! Before the foundation of the earth, God had a plan of
redemption for you and me. This month we corporately celebrate Jesus’
death, burial, and His resurrection. Thanks be unto the Lord that He
would save a sinner such as I.
Church family we celebrate because
there is no other religion or any other god like our God. God in His own
design decided to send His one and only Son Jesus to die the death that
we all deserve to die. Jesus was beaten, nailed to a cross, and pierced
in His side for our iniquity but on the third day, He ROSE VICTORIOUSLY.
May we not allow anything to filter through our lives where we forget
about this great gift of salvation. In just three weeks we will celebrate
Resurrection Sunday, but every day we have the opportunity to praise
His name for the wonderful things He has done.
Church family I challenge you today to begin praying for that one
person you can invite to our Easter weekend celebration. On Friday
night April 15th, we will have our glow-in-the-dark Easter Egg outreach.
We will begin at 7 pm with registration, food, gospel presentation, and
Easter Egg hunt. We need your help serving in this awesome outreach.
This coming Sunday, April 3rd immediately following morning worship
we will meet to discuss the details of this event. Please make your
plans to be a part of this exciting outreach and invite someone to come
with you.
On Sunday, April 17th, Easter Sunday Morning we will begin our
celebration at 7:30 am for our Sunrise service, followed by breakfast at
8 am, then Sunday School at 9 am, and worship at 10 am. Who will you
invite to come with you?
As we enter this exciting season I want to invite you to join me in
praying for the lost in our county. On Wednesday, April 6th at 7 pm we
will have a night of prayer for the lost in our county and for our
outreach. Then on Wednesday, April 13th at 7 pm, we will package all of
our children’s candy bags and then pray over each of those bags. Prayer
is vital and our dependence on God will determine the success of our
upcoming outreach.
Church Family we love each of you and look forward to what God will
continue to do through BBC.
From your Pastor, Patrick Blackmon.
