An Article from a daily Devotional entitled “Deeper Waters” had this to say on day 25. “Have you ever caught a great catch? If so, what is the first thing you want to do? If you’re like me, your first tendency is to take a pic and send it to a friend or post it on social media. Why? Because you want others to see the enjoyment and excitement you’ve experienced for themselves. Life can be like a great fishing experience when it’s shared with others. We were never meant to do life and experience life apart from others. In Fact, the Bible says, “Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor (Ecclesiastes 4:9).” It is so much easier when you have extra hands helping to pull the load on a fishing excursion and so many better memories are made after it is all said and done and looking back. (Anderson. 2019)”
Humans need interactions. We need each other on a daily basis. To share in each other’s excitement, failures, accomplishments, sadness, happiness, and to share the workload. We need each other to be a sounding board to unload our hearts, thoughts, fears, and so forth. “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the day approaching (Hebrews 10: 24-25 NKJV).”
God designed human beings to worship Him corporately together and to lean on Him and other Christians for encouragement. As you go about your day, make sure you reach out to someone and encourage them. Ask them if they need help with something. Ask them can you tag along with them or if they would like to tag along with you, even if it’s just a trip to the store. Let God use you to make a difference in someone’s life today before it’s too late. Because in this life, two is really better than one!
