Church family, I pray you had a wonderful Christmas. For many of you, I am sure that Christmas may have looked different, but I hope that Jesus was the center of your
attention. Through 2020 we have been reminded that we must slow down, enjoy the moments God gives us, and always fix our eyes on Him. It has definitely been a challenging year, but also a comfort knowing that God is always with us no matter what we face. I thank you for your faithfulness, your support, your encouragement, and your love throughout this year. I am truly blessed to be your pastor. I look forward to 2021 and the many things God has in store.

As we begin a new year there are many unknowns, uncertainties, but one thing remains we have a race to run. As much as I despise running personally in my life, I look forward to running this race with you in 2021. This year we continue to have an opportunity to be apart of something bigger than ourselves, part of a gospel movement in the Buford community. One of my goals for this year and theme for 2021 is found in Jesus’ statement in Matthew 5:14, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” My goal this year is that BBC will be a church for the Buford community. A church for the city/community. This means we will continue to roll up our sleeves together from Tradesville to the crossroads, from Hwy 9 to the ends of the earth. The gospel we will declare from our services to our serving. Another goal we will pursue together is to make disciples. The way we will fulfill this command is by teaching the word and living the word out. Our journey is only beginning. It will take all of us united together to be what God has called us to be in this community and beyond. I am excited, so roll up your sleeves, and let’s keep running.

Our theme verse for the year is Psalm 62:1-2, “For God alone, my soul waits in silence, from him comes to my salvation. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my
fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken.”
