The WMU mission is to fulfill the great commission in our Buford Community and around the world. We currently have 4 Groups that anyone is Welcomed to join.
Pillowcase ministry
Leader Brenda Rowell
This group meets the 2nd Monday of each month from September-May of each year. We meet in the Family Life Center from 9 AM-1 PM to sew pillowcases for the “Putting our heroes HEADS AT EASE” ministry. We also make several other items requested from our community: Examples: changing pads, diaper bags for the Lancaster Women’s Center.
The Pillowcase ministry is currently making face masks. If you or anyone you know would like one, you can contact the church via our contact page here and we will put you in touch with Brenda Rowell to arrange to get one.
Busy Bee Crochet Group
Leader Janice Mathis
This group meets the 4th Thursday of each month. They make caps for the “Sea fare Ministries in Charleston, S.C.” They also have made baby blankets, booties, and Breast Cancer Inserts for our community.
The Mission Study Group
This group meets at the church on the 3rd Tuesday in the months from September-May. This Bible study group learns Biblical Truths from the Bible on Missions and prays for Missionaries around the world and their needs. They also contribute to Mission Offering and Missionaries in the field.
Bethlehem Baptist Women's Ministry
Leader: Brittany Blackmon
The Baptist Women's ministry is open to all ages, from youth to adult. The Baptist Women meet once a month, break bread together, and have a speaker that brings a message of encouragement to our ladies.
